(Pictured above, Mrs. Patricia Slager works with preschoolers in their natural setting.)  Mrs. Slager is trained in evaluating students from the ages of three to adult.  As a Masters degreed Learning Disabilities/Teacher Consultant, Mrs. Slager has been an integral member of several child study teams in the local area.  Her years of experience and education make her an asset to parents, community members and child study teams.  A Wilson trained diagnostician, Mrs. Slager is very passionate about using Orton Gillingham approaches to reverse dyslexia.  She has had some wonderful success with severely dyslexic youngsters. 
Who are we?

Patricia J. Slager, M.A., LDT/C, SSS  is a Learning Disabilities Specialist and founder of Educational Resources.  Trained in Manhattan under the Irlen Clinic, Mrs. Slager is also a certified scotopic sensitivity screener as well as a learning consultant. Aspergers, Autism, Dyslexia and Dysgraphia are areas of expertise.  She is a certified Wilson Instructor, an experienced CST Director, and served as the Past President of the Tri-County Association of Learning Consultants.  Patricia Slager has unique insight into many educational situations having been an educator, administrator, school board member and advocate. Ann Markel, PT, is a master Physical Therapist. Jefferson trained, Ann has served as a physical therapist in various school districts as well as rehabilitative facilities.
  
Wendy Spiveck, OTR, certified in Handwriting Without Tears, is experienced in providing occupational therapy to students and adults.  She continues to work in school districts as well as for Educational Resources for Success LLC.
 
Barri Veytsman, Ed.S., is a certified and experienced educational specialist who has served on many child study teams in the area since she is also a certified school psychologist.  Barri trained at Lehigh University and as an educational specialist, her specialty is developing educational and behavioral plans to help children succeed.  She can go in and provide second opinions for child study teams through the school districts. 

 
Janet Feldman, M.S., CCC, Speech and Language Pathologist, specializes in diagnosing and remediating articulation and language disorders in children.  Janet has also taught dictation and public speaking. 

 
Anita McCafferty, LCSW, MSW, LMFT, is a Clinical and Licensed School Social Worker, past Associate Professor at Dartmouth Medical School, one of the co-founders  of Associated Therapists and partner in McCafferty Mediation.  Mrs. McCafferty has over thirty years of experience working with children and developing plans for ADD.

 

Susan Backal, MSW, is a School Social Worker who trained at the University of Pennsylvania . Susan also has a masters degree in education as well as social work.  She has unique experience in both school social work and adoptions.
